Empowering Change
At, One12 Recovery, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, we pride ourselves in supporting women on their recovery journey and emphasizes four core principles known as the Four C's:
- Choice: Recovery is a personal choice and One12 empowers women to take ownership of their journey. This means recognizing the power they have to choose sobriety and a life free from addiction.
- Connection: No one recovers alone One12 fosters a strong sense of connection through supportive communities and peer relationships. Women can share experiences, offer encouragement, and learn from each other's journey.
- Courage: Facing addiction and pursuing recovery takes immense courage. One12 celebrates the bravery it takes to confront challenges and embrace a new life.
- Change: Recovery is a transformative process. One12 emphasizes the importance of personal growth and change, both internally and external circumstances.
These core principles provide a foundation for women in recovery to build a new life of empowerment, connection, and lasting change.
12-Step Based
We believe in fully immersing ourselves within whichever 12-Step fellowship you choose. Getting a sponsor, working the steps, being committed to a home group, and giving back to others.
Peer Empowerment
We believe in women building true connections and empowering each other to live to up our true potential. Helping each other navigate recovery build up each other's self-esteem and lean on each other for support in times of need.
Giving Back
During our addictions we all have made choices that have led to poor decisions and causing ourselves and those around us pain. We believe that freely giving back to our community is the steppingstone to building good self-esteem and helping to find freedom from the past. Good and purposeful living leads to a new and a wonderful life.
About us
For years, I lived in active addiction, truly believing there was no way out. I thought I would die that way. I had tried to get sober more times than I can count, but I was never fully willing to change the parts of my life that were holding me back. I thought I knew a better way—but the truth was, I didn’t.
Everything changed when I finally made the decision to surrender and take every suggestion offered to me. I’m especially grateful for the woman who stood by me from day one. She showed me that building a solid foundation in recovery was not only possible but vital—and that everything else would come together in time. She was right.
Since then, Justin and I have both defied the odds. We’ve built a beautiful life and family in recovery, and it all started in a home just like this. Our hope now is to help other women do the same—to lay that same foundation and begin rebuilding a life they never thought was possible.
To the Women Who Walked With Me
Recovery is not something I did alone—and I never could have. Along the way, I’ve been incredibly blessed with a community of strong, compassionate, and courageous women who stood beside me when I couldn’t yet stand on my own. Some offered guidance, some offered tough love, and others simply offered their presence—but every single one played a role in helping me heal, grow, and become the woman I am today.
These women taught me how to show up for life, how to be honest with myself, and how to hold space for others. They showed me that recovery isn’t just about staying sober—it’s about building meaningful relationships, learning to trust again, and being there for the next woman who reaches out for help.
To each of you: thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Your support, wisdom, and sisterhood changed my life, and I carry those lessons with me every day.
